Avoid United Airlines, enormous delays are their norm and they obviously couldn't care less. Very depressing after a long haul flight to face 2-3 hour delays on your connection.
A 2013 report from CDC affirmed that the smoking rooms don't work. Smoke leaks out exposing staff an passengers to chronic low levels of secondhand smoke.
United airlines may have 6000 flights a day but they have the oldest planes and the oldest crew. Fly Virgin.

frank strongНоябрь 2, 2011Free WiFi by AT&T; it is a bit slow, but it works. Could not log into the "Dulles" network. Electrical outlet near gate 30.
Dulles is far from DC - cabs are stupid expensive. Try the bus, Metro, and/or Washington Flyer. Way cheaper.
Garage 1 parking is $10/day. Not sure how long this will last.
There is a service animal relief area on the walkway between the C and D terminals.
Eat before coming. Food options are sub par
The LED lighting in gate c is a nice touch and easy on the eyes if u have a hangover.

If leaving out of Terminal C keep in mind there aren't many places to eat.
Clearest bathroom is on the upper level, outside security, behind cinabun.
Even if you have priority status or first class status, expect to wait in long security lines.
J. EuellАпрель 25, 2013Electrical outlets are scarce. The rare charging stations only allow chargers up to 2 Amps. The standard 10W iPad chargers are 2.1 Amps, so they don't work. Boo!
Elite members avoid east end of security checkpoint ...they queue up everyone upstairs and wait to go downstairs (status or no status) :( :(
Saturday morning travel is redicuously smooth! I highly reccomend it! Security check rocked!

Drew AspinwallИюль 2, 2010Don't rely on the PA in terminal A; be 'that guy' and stand by your gate when they announce 1k and global. Nearly stayed overnight because calling boarding 4 was too much work for the night crew.
The food at the district Chophouse smells so good
If you need a manicure check out 10 minute manicure near Gate D10....good option for delayed flights
