GNTLMN: Prix fixe menu. Chef is Naomi Pomeroy from Top Chef. Perhaps one of the best meals of my life. All meat based menu. Don't overlook the foie gras bonbon--it's tiny, so savor it. Must make a reservation

GNTLMN: Favorite restaurant in Portland. Bon Appetit Magazine just ranked it #5 on their list of best new restaurants of 2013. Food and service are meticulous, all locally sourced, and very reasonably priced.
GNTLMN: One of the more expensive restaurants in Portland, but also one of the best. Chef Gabriel Rucker won last year's James Beard Northwest Award and the James Beard Best Rising Star Chef Award in 2011.
GNTLMN: I'm super, super picky about my sushi. Possibly the best sushi I've ever eaten. Omakase is only $39. Sounds suspect, but it's top inventive and top notch. I'd eat here almost every day if I could.
GNTLMN: First sustainably farmed sushi restaurant. The Green Machine Roll is hands down my favorite. If you like Miso Cod, theirs is great, but very rich, so save it for the last course.

GNTLMN: Inside the Ace Hotel, one of my favorite, most consistent restaurants. It's a seasonal menu, but the menu isn't huge, so worth taking a look to make sure there's something you'll like.
GNTLMN: Delicious, down home Italian. It's consistently delicious and one of my regular go-to's. My favorite dish is the Rigatoni Bolognese or the Parpadelle with slow cooked boar meat sauce.
GNTLMN: Great Italian. A little upscale. Chef Cathy Whims has been nominated for the James Beard Award for the Northwest 5 years in a row. Get the budino for dessert. It's deliciously rich.
GNTLMN: All their other Vietnamese dishes are very authentic as well. If you don't want to make the trek out there, they have a more upscale restaurant called Silk in the Pearl.
