Although it is not the scene as it was five years ago, this bar is always fun, relaxed, and serves great cocktails... reminds me of Cheers in some regards
Get here before 5:15 to guarantee a table in the main bar... place dies down around 8:00... awesome cocktails and service... has a "whore seasons" rep but seems to only be in the pre 2008 days
Be wary of sitting down as a $25 fee is usually charged... crowd can be old but Bemelmans is a classic NYC spot liked by old and young
