The ice cream is varied here. The almond brittle is a must. They do have a large ice cream flight but you’ll need multiple people to finish it. The street parking is terrible.
The Ube horchata is sweet but refreshing. There is a private parking lot, it’s tight. The ube chia pudding is better than the buko pandan.
This is a modern Filipino eatery. The patita or pork shank is excellent, fried and meaty with a sweet spicy glaze. There is a nice patio area.
The chicken and shawarma combo is delicious and a lot of food. Make sure to get extra garlic sauce.
Nasi campur Kalimantan is roasted pork, fried chicken over rice. You can get Sambal on the side. There is parking across the street and in the back.
The Cuban sandwich is the most famous thing here and justifiably so. It’s not dry and there is a lot of meat. The black bean soup is ok. There is a tiny parking lot. They do have take out.
It’s an over the counter bakery, no seats. The borek or Armenian breads are good. The cheese borek and potato borek are surprisingly delicious. There is parking on the back.
They’re larger onigiri and they’re stuffed. There is validation for the parking structure. The spam musubi is expensive for what you get.
The tonkatsu ramen is excellent, make sure to get an extra egg. The pork is roasted which makes it interesting. The parking is terrible, there’s a tiny lot and metered street parking.
It’s a hipster coffee shop that’s popular with college students. Along with a variety of coffee drinks they have avocado toast, crepes, açaí bowls and kava shots. This place is always packed.
This is Cambodian Chinese food. There is some Vietnamese food. No 14 is good. There is a private parking lot that you have to pay for. Cash only
They make custom liturgical vestments. An alb takes a month to make and a cassock takes several months.
It’s a weird combo to have döner wraps and boba in one place. Adding the feta cheese makes the wrap salty. There is free parking in the front.
The carnitas is juicy and fatty. You have the option to get pure meat or with skin. There is about 30 seats inside. The salsa bar is only for dine in. It get’s busy especially on the weekend.
The fried chicken and everything else is made to order. You can order white meat or dark meat. The staff is friendly. There are plenty of soul food sides. The macaroni and cheese & collards are good
The bacon spread is a bacon butter. The rye bread is soft and the pickles are excellent.
This is the best coney dog in Detroit. The chili is excellent. Cash only and the street parking. The restaurant is small with limited seats.
They serve excellent coffee. The liege waffle is the only waffle you can get to go. The liege waffle comes hot and is delicious, there are chunks of caramelized sugar imbedded inside.
The chicken shawarma and the beef shawarma are good. The plate is good for two people or one hungry person.
There is a tour done by the Detroit gift shop. It is well worth it to see the gorgeous interior and get a little back story.
