Here Michelangelo lived during the illness of his mother and after her death (1481), in the house of a stonecutter and his family, in a farmhouse that is now the "Villa Michelangelo".
The original name was simply “Caprese”. The “Michelangiolesco Museum” includes the house where Michelangelo was born, the Clusini Palace and the Rocca fortress.
