Don't forget to check out the Japanese Garden, waterfall, and zoo. They have bison, bears, and an eagle.
The bear exhibit is very hit-or-miss...the big guy is quite elusive

There's lots of random paths through out the place that are fun to explore and can lead to places where you can actually get some peace

Check out the Zoo! The Bison and Bears are the coolest.

Maymont was given to us by James and Sallie Dooley, who lived here from 1893 through 1925. They wanted Maymont to be preserved so that new generations could enjoy it as much as they did.
