The door won't reveal it, but this is the best cocktail bar in town. Just press the doorbell and be amazed by the service.
One of a couple of awesome pizza places in Amsterdam. Great to take-out or eat in. Get any, they are all fantastic.
Really nice place, good music, decent coffee. Large concentration of Amsterdam's hipster population are regulars. Just don't come here for the food.

This is The Artis Zoo. Who needs a tip about this place. The best, most beautiful zoo in the World. Tip: go there on a Sunday morning be at the gate at 09:00. Be the first. And enjoy.
If you'd like to get to know what Dutch beer is like, this is the place to be. Just ask the bartenders for recommendations.
This gets busy fast so come for an early dinner at the dozens of food stalls. Good beers are in the back!
The lobby is great to take a break in, and the restaurant upstairs offers a nice view in the evenings.
If you're not staying here, it's still worth going for a nice coffee in a comfy chair or a cocktail later in the evening upstairs.

Avoid the crowds: Buy a ticket online. Go at 8:45am. Immediately walk up to the Nachtwacht, then the great hall behind it, then the west wing, then down.
Great breakfast options, beautiful decor and really, really peaceful for a sunday. Prices are very ok as well imho. Recommend!

There's a lot of nice little quiet corners here to read a newspaper or do some remote working. It's great.
You'll be swatting away (fellow) tourists here, but don't let that discourage you. It's a great way to try some different kitchens Amsterdam has to offer.
