An undeniably Texan dining experience, head to Stephan Pyles' newest restaurant for honey fried chicken, a bone-in cowboy ribeye, or tacos with housemade tortillas. [Eater 38 Member]
A step up from authentic Tex-Mex. I really like the style of the food which reflects in taste. Presentation is perfect. Design is just as perfect as the butterscotch pudding! It's to die for!
For a delicious cocktail with a kick, try the passion-chile margarita. Shiner beer bread is a great starter and the chicken-fried buffalo steak is to die for! Smaller plates add up, but very worth it!
Plenty of great options, but my eyes tend to go directly to the Shrimp N Grits. With everything else on the menu, I did not expect this as a favorite, but it is. And of course, close with the churros.
Great place with great food! Their brisket is delicious and Tempe tacos and frittatas are awesome. The drinks are very well done at your table. I always come back when I can.
Atmosphere, awesome. Food, awesome. Starter: Shiner Bock beer bread, entree: oyster tacos & brisket. Mac n cheese ok. Dessert: Apple pie or butterscotch pudding. Yum!
Stampede 66 uses a syringe to inject the bird with sweet Texas Wildflower Honey. It is pasture-raised, organic, double-coated with seasoned flour and buttermilk, then fried.
Passion-Chile Margarita is a must. You get a show of a handmade drink at your table and a fantastic, sorbet-like margarita. Surprise! The lime is foam! Enjoy.
The margarita that's made on a cart beside your table after you order it is more like a science experiment than any lime-tinged margarita you're used to.
Very nice ambiance, but pricey. The signature drink prepared tableside ($18) is way over rated. Excellent service. Ask for the tacos, tamales, and chicken and dumplings.
Stephan Pyles labored to make the most Texas-y restaurant possible, and materialized is snakeskin booths and chicken fried steak with injectable gravy.
The honey fried chicken was amazing. The margarita they freeze at your table was also fantastic. Beer selection was lacking; service was okay but not par for the price.
Food was just ok for the price. Signature drink does not always come with a table side show. They told me they were too busy. So an overrated $18 margarita. I'll pass.
