kelly tМай 14, 2015Beautiful room in the lodge. Room service was delightful, the tour was fun, the bar has an extensive whiskey collection, the lunch wraps were delish. Highly recommended by me!

The TravelerАвгуст 12, 2018Went for the tour only. Emily was the tour guide. She was very funny and informative. The hotel is amazing to see. You can have a drink at the bar and go to the gift shop. Beautiful setting. 👍👍
NONE of stanley kubricks "the shining" was filmed at the Stanley Hotel! The exterior shots were filmed in Mt. Hood Oregon at the Timberline Lodge! The interior was filmed on a sound stage in London!

The infamous mountain retreat where Stephen King stayed one snowy autumn in 1974 and was inspired to write his novel The Shining. The hotel is regarded to be haunted.
John GeigerСентябрь 9, 2018Don’t buy into the hype. The tour may be entertaining but the hotel itself is poorly run and very poorly maintained. Estes Park is wonderful, but you can do WAY better when it comes to lodging.

Traffic is a mess with all the on-site construction.

He is informative, knowledgeable, funny, and makes sure to make sure everyone is having an great time!- Take a photo of the blocked stairwell on the 4th floor, if you have your camera on flash it will reveal the word RedRum scratched in the wood.
When checkin' in ask/hope that you get a room that faces Estes Park. The rooms that face the back of the hotel have the worse views and can get a bit noisy from the outdoor bar!
