Very good food, truly homemade, not cheap but worth the money. The staff was nice and the view is great. We'll come back! And the dessert "Dunkelschokolade mit Himbeer" Highlighly recommended!

After a hot boat ride on Lake Lucern I recommend to take the cabrio cable car on Switzerland's mount Stanserhorn at 1898 meters which was great to cool down and enjoy a scenic view! Camera mandatory!

Take the boat from Thun to Gunten and hike from there to Oberhofen. The hike takes about an hour and is very pretty!

the saunas are really quality, with 85,95,&100°. the view is lovely, the pools are chlorinated, but water is thermal spring. travelers beware: German saunas are nude & mixed, not for the overly modest
Saturdays it's full of Swiss people and don't expect to get a parking spot then. If you do, the bakery inside has good pizza.

A 100 yr old Swiss hotel built into the side of a 100 meter Swiss cliff. 100 horses couldn't drag me away from such a sight. Especially since horses are terrible mountain climbers.
