They have a great happy hour that includes drinks and food. Good place for groups to have some cocktails and share a few snacks (love the beet and shrimp pintxos).
Impress your date and enjoy delicious tapas - try the braised beans, black ink calamari, tenderloin carpaccio and pork loin – in a inventive & modern setting.
Great decor & price-- always wonder why it's empty for brunch. Then I hear the corny 80's music, see one server manning the place, and remember how unmemorable the food is. And keep walking past.
Fresh oysters and clams, sooo good and $1 each, and a mixology bar with fresh cocktails, the whole place makes you feel like youre inside a giant barrel. A must go!!!!
The main reason to eat at the Barrel is the covered sidewalk patio, which is lovely on a warm summer afternoon. The garlic shrimp is tasty too. Service is slow.
love this place! so cute and perfect with a small group for some vino. dinner is cozy and brunch is bright & energizing. a must try in the east village!
What makes for a good Sunday? The fact that The Barrel extends their already happy hour every Sunday – Thursday from 7 p.m. to close if you sit at the bar. That's right.
Everything is awesome here- highly recommend the bucket of mussels, Mac n cheese, sangria, tiramisu, & beef sliders. Make a reservation on the weekends!
Not what I expected. This is what it would taste like if TGI Fridays served "tapas". Generally heavy, greasy, and with low quality ingredients (tomatoes specifically). Sangria tastes like grape juice.
This place is NOT GOOD. The service is good, but unfortunately the food is not. The oysters were served warm-ish and tasted off, and the sangria was very weak.
Housed on a trendy block in the East Village, this European tapas restaurant offers contemporary interpretations of Spanish, French and Mediterranean cuisine in an earthy, yet modern atmosphere.
