This is the front door to Fair Park and the ideal way to get there, especially during the State Fair. The station opened in 2009 with art deco features to match the rest of the park.
It sits on the original site of the State Fair Stadium, which was built entirely from wood in 1921. It is famous for the Red River Shootout, a football showdown between OU & UT Austin.
