Hike down early to grab your spot for sunset. It's well worth the walk down from the main road. Just stunning!

There's a secret cave at the bottom of the staircase that's really cool. The best time to come is around sunset, but there are a lot of tourists. Parking is difficult.

The other-worldly Sutro Bath ruins on the north end of Ocean Beach, was formerly a family swimming and amusement center in the late nineteenth century built by millionaire Adolph Sutro.

Walking and hiking thru the reins of the old foundation of the sutra bath next to the water. The views are breathtaking! If you have kids they will love it! There is a visitor building with bathrooms.

Beautiful and totally worth the trip. Stop by the gift shop and page through some books on what it used to look like. Prepare to be amazed.

Beautiful sunsets, not hideously overcrowded, and you can take a hike after you visit if you want. There's a lot of balancing on walls, so leave small kids at home for everyone's sake.

Awesome place to check out and explore. Smells like seafood because of the ocean there of course. Kind of gross if you're not used to it

Make sure to walk everywhere and on everything. Including in the tunnels to see the epic surges through the caverns. Also, go to the diner up top for a nice view and a mediocre breakfast.....

This was once a public salt water swimming pool that went out of business because of how expensive it was to operate and maintain. Now people walk the edges of the concrete walls to enjoy the view.

Beautiful! Just be aware there are 120+ steps down that you have to climb back up. Or you can take the ramp but that doubles the distance.

I don't recommend wearing nice/expensive shoes. The inside of the cave can get quite muddy from the waves splashing in from outside.
