Best steamed dumplings in Manhattan, and the only place where I can find 拌面 (1/2 lb of peanutsoy saucenoodles for $2). The veg-to-meat ratio and wrapper consistency is so spot-on it's scary.
Trust me-they're the best in NYC! Skins are perfectly thin & not doughy & filling is so tasty. You'll be dreaming of these boiled pork & chive dumplings & not any others!
Even amid the many deligts if Chinatown, this little secret is a real standout. It’s located on the corned past Vanessa’s Dumplings. Order 4, 5 and 14 are the way to go. Also, everything is so cheap.
The boiled dumplings are great, but the rice balls with beef ($3) are the real star here. Deliciously soft and sticky, they may remind you of mochi... until you get a bite of that marinated beef. \nПодробнее
must try their homemade dumplings and wheat noodles in peanut sauce! love their wonton soup too - it's not your typical Chinese takeout type. Much thinner wrap and light soup base. see if you like it!
Steamed pork and chive dumplings are delicious! 6 for $2.50. Lots of filling. Eat with sriracha and their tasty house dumpling sauce. Peanut butter noodles are uninteresting, skip
PB noodles are now $3.00 from $2.50! Cash only. Can’t go wrong with either noodle- the wheat is the wider noodle, firmer bite (pic); the thick rice noodle is bouncier esp when the sauce is absorbed.
$2 for 6 of tastiest must-try BOILED (thin-skinned) pork & chive dumplings in NYC! If u want fried, thicker-skin ones, order @ Vanessa's. Then, hop over here to try these while Vanessa's being prepped
Protect this place at all costs! One of the few places in this day/age where you can get a 2 course meal for just $6. The rice noods are fluffy, bouncier compared to the wheat noods in PB- both good!
Steamed pork&chives are amazing. The wrapper is perfection! The chicken&mushroom dumplings are good too. Peanutnoodles - a solid choice too. If they have a fried dumpling special - get it.
Beef Tripe with Wheat Noodle Soup, Pork and Chive Dumplings, Fish Ball Soup, and Pork BallSoup were all good. Incredibly cheap prices and very filling portions. Unbeatable deal in Manhattan!
Super cheaphole in the wall place, full meal at $5! Boiled Dumplings great with vinegar sauce, i think wheat noodle would be better with peanut sauce instead of the rice one
The pork and chive dumplings alongside the wheat noodles with peanut butter sauce (#05) are the staple dishes of this place. Place looks a little dodgy but worth it.
Is there a line at Vanessa's? That's okay. You should have come here first anyway. A table full of fish balls, pork balls, and steamed dumplings will cost you next to nothing, and give you everything.
Best steamed dumplings I've eaten in all of NYC. Why am I just learning about you now? Also get the peanutbuckwheat noodles as a side and spend $4 total
Best Fuzhou fishballs I've found in the city. Broth is yum, but a little light. Super cheap. Friendly staff. Ignore the fact that it looks condemned =)
The large order of dumplings (11 pieces) is perfect for one person and is 3 bucks. Use a combo of the soy sauce, sriracha and vinegar for dipping! Yum!
