Nice hotel, great night staff. On-site laundry, nice eating area, AWESOME bed. What more could you want?
Chicken salad on the croissant is the bomb. Order two. You'll be glad you did. Also, the powdered doughnut with chocolate pudding inside is really good.
Fairhope has a lively arts community. Notable residents have included Winston Groom, Jimmy Buffett, Upton Sinclair, Rick Bragg, and Fannie Flagg.
Used to be a nice stop for travelers. Not anymore. Women's bathroom was standing room only, with no toilet paper, no soap, filthy. I'd still stop for Dairy Queen; avoid the bathrooms. No drive-thru.
The citrus sunsations smoothie, with lemon, pineapple and orange juice, is really good.
Meh. As unimpressed as I was on first and second visits. Ribeye is fatty and greasy, with unpleasant gristle and an odd seasoning. Caramel Apple Goldrush dessert is the bomb though.
Fettuccine Romano ROCKS. A little greasy, but I thought it was great. Also, the bread pudding is a must-have. Huge though so plan to share.
Watch for upsell - ask for baked potato, waiter says, "That was a loaded baked potato?" Cheese fries HUGE for one person - wasn't told I could (or should) order half. Steak better at Old Hickory.
Pecan cinnamon rolls the size of your head. Ask them to heat it for you.
Good, cheap, dog-friendly, owned by Drury and once a Drury Inn, so it's nicer than you'd expect with such an average name.
Dining room was very nice and upscale. Some people say it's haunted, if you're into that kind of thing.
Bed linens nasty and riddled with holes. Rude staff. Filthy room. Stay elsewhere.
Nice little place beneath the Dog River Bridge to fish or have a picnic. Nice, long wharf, a pavilion, and an info board about the river. Busy on a summer afternoon.
Bed bugs in 417. Orkin was called for bed bugs in nearby rooms, too. Management was very apologetic and refunded $. They stripped the bedding immediately and called pest control. Won't stay again tho.
Swarm popped up a two for 99 cents ice cream blizzard special they're no longer honoring. Just an FYI.
Night crew knows how to make a peanut buster parfait -- chocolate on top, bottom, AND in the middle. They'll also add peanut butter sauce if you ask for it, which is excellent.
