1 hour by local bus (a great experience, but a hairy ride!). Very colourful. There are also some great ruins here.
The elegant Plaza de Armas is surrounded on 3 sides by colonial arcaded buildings with many restaurants, on the 4th side by the cathedral. Behind the cathedral is a very attractive alley with cafes
Also known as Plaza de Armas it is the main square in Lima. With its Spanish architecture, houses the government palace, the city hall, the cathedral and the archiepiscopal palace.
