TSA at MSY is ridiculous! Why 1 person is checking boarding passes and 3 "watching" when there are 50+ people in line makes 0 sense to me. My advice is get there early / in plenty of time!

Meredith McGuireАвгуст 4, 2019Nice airport and TSA didn’t take too long; but it was EXTREMELY cold for needing to wait 6 hours overnight. Maybe put in some sleeping lofts like they have in Japan (paid, of course, by the hour).

Chip HИюнь 28, 2011Just take a cab downtown if you're traveling w/someone. Downtown shuttle is $38 per person and will stop at several other hotels on the way. Cab fare for 2 is $33.

If you are traveling Southwest and not checking bags - go to the right towards security and there are 4 self checkins - usually no lines!

Food is garbage. Parking is full half of the time. Definitely one of my least@favorite airports.
It's pretty chill and easy to deal with. Security lines are never long
App based ride area behind the Transportation Center. Coordinate through your app first!

Watch out for Avis/Budget fuel prices!!! The others are around $5.25 a gallon. Avis/Budget is $9.29! Highway robbery.

Be patient with TSA here... it’s bad. Slow as Christmas and they do not care. Eat before. Food options are quite poor. Parking sucks. The good: on time, and a lot of direct flights. Should be Btr soon

For bottled bevs, the vending machines are a better deal than the concession stands #needmyfrappuccino
Vegetarians: pack your lunch. Absolutely zero veggie options. Even all of the salads are pre made with meat.

Robin InlowОктябрь 24, 2012The people were great but the airport is under construction and so once you check in to your terminal you can't go to another. Don't expect to find the normal restaurants open inside the terminal.
