Hotel guests have access to the thermal pool, jacuzzis and garden at all time and an exclusive access outside of the opening hours, when it is less busy.
If you are a guest at the hotel, go for a night dip. Beware though, all things including skin will turn orange.
The terrace has a beautiful view over the river and Furnas famous geysers. Very friendly service.
Cheese sandwiches in bolos lêvedos make a great snack! The beer is really cheap.
The linguine al nero with oysters sauce were really good. Nice place to have a drink by the marina.
The terrasse is beautiful, with its daturas and mini versions of Faial and Pico islands. Can you spot them?
The polvo guisado (octopus stew) was amazing. Great setting with half the restaurant being outdoors yet protected from rain if the weather is not nice.
Nice, relatively small restaurant with a friendly service and amazing food. The squids were delicately battered. I'm not a fan of fried food, but it was very light and tasted amazing. Worth the trip.
Really good grilled scabbard fish (espada grelhado) and great service. Large parking on the other side of the road.
More cosy than gorreana and offering more varieties to try, the tea service is worth the price. Get some cookies too, they are great.
The place can get very busy, so make a reservation or be patient. Friendly staff, especially if you speak some Portuguese. Many local specialties, the portions are very generous.
