Excellent hour-long guided tours (roughly hourly summer; 11am and 3pm winter) run by architecture students are the only way (apart from enrolling) to visit the interior. Book by phone at busy times.
One of the city’s premier live-music pub venues, the excellent King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut hosts bands every night of the week. Oasis were signed after playing here.

The most interesting part of the cathedral, the lower church, is reached by a stairway. Its forest of pillars creates a powerful atmosphere around St Mungo’s tomb.
Check out the planetarium, where the Scottish Power Space Theatre brings the night sky to life and a Virtual Science Theatre takes you on a 3-D molecular journey.
The gorgeous hilly grounds make the perfect place for a picnic lunch. There are also organised walks and concerts in summer -- have a look at the noticeboard near the entrance to see what’s on.
A Glasgow institution. Billed as the longest continual bar in Europe, it serves a wide range of real ales at affordable prices, serves good wholesome food and has a great atmosphere to boot.
Pretty authoritative collection of whiskys. Not a big as the 489 they peaked at (http://thepotstill.co.uk/collection.htm)but they're trying to get back there. Quite a place!
This is a great place to meet with friends. Fantastic pubs, bars and all the restaurants. You can easily spend a few hours here. :-)

Good selection of ever changing ales on tap, great bottle selection. Sadly the Bottleneckers are no more but the (equally as good) Shiverin Sheiks have take their place on a Tuesday night.
Great bar and a really nice menu. Costs about £7-10 for mains. Would highly recommend the steak!

Visit this museum to learn about the history of the UK's City of Glasgow's Police. Has amazing displays of uniforms and interesting police artifacts and documents on crimes.
Great home-cooked curries. It’s wise to book -- it’s a snug place with a big reputation, a limited menu and a sensational-value two-course lunch for £5.25 (dinner mains £6-12).
Set in the city’s oldest park, Glasgow Green, is the solid orange stone People’s Palace. It is an impressive museum of social history, telling the story of the city from 1750 to the present.
Great late night bar, open until 3am. Good selection of spirits at the upstairs bar. Comedy and live music hosted downstairs.
