Beautiful room and extremely friendly hotel staff. Near Plaza de Colon, the entrance to Old San Juan and next door to a string of restaurants with outdoor seating. Loved it.
Great coffee spot with outdoor seating. Fried plantain spiders and crab cakes were delicious. Can't wait to go back.
Incredibly beautiful old cemetery just outside the walls of El Morro and overlooking the ocean. Unreal.

An excellent start to the Flavors of Old San Juan food and culture tour. You can't beat mallorca sandwiches and a mango frappé for breakfast. The regular (non-tour) portion sizes are quite sharable.

Historic mansion at the end of a stunning blue cobblestone street lined with colorful buildings and spanish balconies. It's good to be Governor.
Mashed up plantains for our own chicken Mofongo as part of the Flavors of Old San Juan food tour. I'm not sure if you have to be on the tour to do your own mashing, but it was fun and tasted great.
Pretty adventurous uses of chocolate on the menu here. Had a hot chocolate with cheese in it. Definitely curious to try some of the sandwiches. The gallery connected to this place is great, as well.
Great place to start a relaxing stroll along the water, continuing on to Paseo del Morro.
Excellent spot to enter the city if you're a spanish colonist unloading supplies from your ship in the 1600s.

The small 'Green Eggs and Ham' was quite tasty. The small 'Big Breakfast' sounded impossible, but was also delicious.
Short cab ride from Old San Juan. You can rent chairs and an umbrella at the beach and get drinks just across the street.
The 'Sail Old San Juan' Sunset Sail on the S/V Chili Pepper departs from here. Fantastic way to spend an evening and incredible views of El Morro from the water.

1st stop on the S.S. Tobias Beach & Snorkel tour. Interesting rock and coral reef wall but didn't see many fish. First time snorkeling though, so I might have just been too busy trying not to drown.
2nd stop on the S.S. Tobias Beach & Snorkel tour. We saw several different kinds of fish as well as sea turtles feeding on patches of underwater grass. Very cool spot.
Last stop on the S.S. Tobias Beach & Snorkel tour. Stunning long sandy beach that's inexplicably not crowded. Arriving at and departing by sea made the experience even more wonderfully surreal.
Seafood mofongo was fantastic (the chicken mofongo was excellent as well) as was the sangria. Service and outdoor seating were perfect. Would definitely come back here.
Impressive plaza-like outdoor seating area with a great bartender and a friendly cat. Only had drinks here but would love to come back and try the food.
Gorgeous old fort with incredible views, surrounded by a great grassy park full of picnics and kite flying.
Had a fantastic time here taking photos with parrots and a snake (not at the same time, fortunately) and watching jugglers and performances during the International Circus & Street Performer Festival.
Friendly little coffee spot. They brought us a free smoothie when we had finished our drinks and started looking sad about having to leave soon :P

Enjoyed outdoor seating and good service. The Garlic & Parsley Shrimp with Rice wasn't bad, but didn't blow my socks off or anything. The actual Mojito was less than impressive, unfortunately.
