Visit Marie Laveau's grave.. the one with tons of XXX marks that people have drawn for luck. H. Plessy (Plessy vs. Ferguson) is also here. Court case resulted in separate but equal segregation laws.
Marie laveau had a daughter whose tomb is there too...also covered with xxx. Pretty cool place to see even without a tour. Closes at 3pm though!

Wonderful little museum with lots of info on the history of voodoo. Take as many picture as you like- they encourage it! Lots of great goodies in the gift shops. Gris gris bags, voodoo dolls, & more.
Since 1727 New Orleanians have worshipped in churches on this site. A fire in 1788 burned the church to the ground. Construction of a new church began in early 1789, & was completed in December 1794.
