This is a remarkably beautiful and peaceful area. Go for a long walk or grab a bench and a great book.
At lunch you must arrive at 11am to vet a Deluxe Bento Box. It worth it! They serve only 10 units per day!

If you like Indian cuisine and you don't go to Vij's you're crazy. It's absolutely worth the 1-1.5 hour wait! Everything I had was great. The mutton kebabs and lamb were fantastic.
A Texan visiting Vancouver heard about good tacos and said "We'll see..." SERIOUSLY good tacos. Not just good for Vancouver, but they could stand on their own anywhere.
The best ramen I've had outside of Japan. Ironically enough, it's a Japanese chain. But that's what makes it authentic and awesome.

Try the chicken wings, butter beef and the gold fish. Delicious, non pretentious food and exceptional service. Highly recommend!
Easily some of the best Italian food I've ever had. Chickpea cauliflower dish was great, and the ragu.
