"The building was first constructed in 1941, but a certificate of occupancy shows it has been a liquor store since at least 1946. The old neon parking sign probably dates back to the ‘40s."

"Bert’s Liquor Store on York Blvd in Eagle Rock. Though the building was first constructed in 1936, this plexi projection roof sign was added in June 1964."

"Est by Sylvester Dupuy for his sons to run and the family still owns it. Sylvester Dupuy built the enormous Pyrenees castle on the hill across the street in 1927. Phil Spector bought this castle."

"Y Tire Sales and Auto Repair has been in business since 1935 on Valley Blvd in Alhambra. Though the Y in this sign is missing its original neon, it’s still pretty cool."
