Kristen JonusАпрель 27, 2012Do not sit near gates 24-35 if you want some peace and quiet before your flight, the number of announcements they make is ridiculous! Decent food options though, limited souvenir places.
Hungry? Matsutake before security has great sushi, ramen, and amazing service.
Make sure your name is spelt right on your ticket, I found out the hard way that it costs $200 to change

If you travel with a water bottle, you can fill it after security at Fuddruckers in Terminal C.

dont exit security if you have a connection take the bloody shuttle bus between c and b
Always ask for an upgrade, that way even if you don't get it you can go through the security priority line.

The security lines are a mess for gates 10-22. Always pick the most inside lane or most outside lane, they tend to be the fastest.
Lots of construction in terminal and surrounding area.
the beer and shot combo at Gordon biersch is the way to go.$3 shot with beer purchase
It's nearly ALWAYS worth the price difference to fly in here!

The airport lounges are hidden upstairs from security. Take elevators immediately on your right.
The roads around the airport are a mess due to ongoing construction. I wonder if this will be the case for years.

Get your magazines and food before you go through security! Slim pickings after that!
Head over to Nationals Park and take in a baseball game. It's just over the river!
