San Diego Favorites

Jenna Rose Robbins: You get an awful lot for your admission here. The Russian submarine delighted my niblings, while my favorite is the Star of India, particularly the bottom half. Don't forget the steam ferry!

Jenna Rose Robbins: So many treasures to explore. The museums alone will take you days to get through. At sunset, the buildings glow for picture-perfect photo ops. You don't need to spend much to enjoy a day here.

Jenna Rose Robbins: Fabulous architecture, ocean breezes, and scrumptious (albeit pricey) food. What else can you ask for? Rumor has it Frank Baum wrote parts of the Wizard of Oz here.

Jenna Rose Robbins: Call me crazy (most do), but I love visiting this station, even when I'm not taking the train. It's like taking a trip back in time, and it's so convenient to the cruise ships a few blocks away.

Jenna Rose Robbins: I've taken my family to this waterfront resort on few occasions and have always loved it, although I need to plan a visit when I can spend more time on the property to enjoy all the amenities.

Jenna Rose Robbins: Always fun to take visitors to this neighborhood, even if it's just to stroll around. It's a unique California atmosphere.

Jenna Rose Robbins: This is one of the few animal-related attractions I can get behind, both for its conservation efforts and the habitats, which are designed with the animals in mind, not visitors.

Jenna Rose Robbins: Although it's fun to visit any day the houses are open, make sure to check the calendar so you don't miss some of the super-fun annual events like the international tastings.
