Layton Park is the setting for the museum. An ancient Washoe site, park has picnic tables & small nature trail w/ animal brochures 2 help kids find animal cutouts along trail. Free. Great 4 picnics!
Lakefront park w/ playground, restrooms. Lakeshore shallow but rocky; good 4 kids, might want H2O shoes. Free. Summer Sunday concerts, movie nights also free. Various events year 'round. A real gem!
