There is Roman guard (Dioklecijanova straža) guarding Peristil everyday from 8AM to 8PM. At 12AM catch the appearance of emperor Diocletian and his wife Prisca with salutation to the folk.
A perfect Guiness and great whisky. All of this, with a relaxing jazz mood and a cozy decoration. The owner is one of the warmest people you'll meet in Croatia. Absolutely recommended!

Interior looks awful, but the food is more than good. Forget pizza, try traditional Dalmatian cuisine - "Pašticada" (Beef stew) or order a tuna steak. Ask for daily menu, everything is great.
Best place in Split. Good wine and delicious local cheese and jams. The atendants are very friendly! They accept credit card. There's a very nice place to go, i highly recommend!

Eat seafood! Prices are per kilo, but order 1 portion and you'll get about 400 grams of great fish/ mussels. We recommend this place for seafood. Quite many people were eating meat though.
