If you want to experience the authentic Yucatan culinary experience and eat and drink like a local, follow my top 5 list ;) They all are in Mérida's downtown and you can do them all in one day.

"In this lovely market you will find many stalls with Yucatan food, try the Tortas de Cochinita there (tasty pulled pork marinated with Yucatecan spices). There you can also find Salbutes and Paunchos."
