Authentic Lao Food in the Bay Area

ivy♥: This place is actually more of a Lao restaurant. Don't miss their somtam (papaya salad) and larb beef. Think you're tough? Ask for bitter larb! =)

Anjell Staana: While you're at it. Try the nam kao (fried rice ball) it's great!

Joseph Boyle: Get the nam khao - rice crispies and pork bits with scallion, chile, ginger, peanuts and lime juice that you wrap up with mint and cilantro in lettuce.

Zachary Reiss-Davis: Get the nam kao crispy rice salad. It's amazing.

ivy♥: Hands down the best Lao food in the bay area! Authentic. Cheap. Yummy. Try Tum Marg Tang (cucumber salad), Kao Poon (Lao sticky rice noodle in curry soup) and Moke Pa (Steamed fish in Banana Leaf) :)
