- The best place for coffee and snacks inside of the airport is a small coffeeshop on the second floor (right side opposite pharmacy).
- Enter the new terminal #7 for internal flights. Clean, comfortable and free wi-fi conditions are at your service.
- You can park your car for free just near the airport (on the right side when coming out from the airport near new hotel which seems to be not opened)
- The only problem is there is no CIP lounge for the business class or frequent flyer passangers... Free wi-fi is provided.

- Cenker KöseДекабрь 28, 2015Small but nice and well organized airport. Agree on the price before get in taxi (around 2500 tenge).
- Ridiculous prices on basic stuff like water. 500 tenge (3$) when outside it costs only 80. Look for a small duty free shop close to the elevator- they sell all kind of soft drinks for 200 tenge only.
- Dear guests of Almaty! FYI: average rate for a cab ride from the airport to the city is around 25$ = 2500kzt. Ask about rate before getting in a cab.

- Simon OpsomerСентябрь 26, 2023If you’re on a long layover, go outside. There’s nothing inside the airport and it’s too small for the amount of people it has to handle. Visit some of the restaurants in the close neighbourhood.
- Waiting in the international departure terminal, beer is much cheaper through duty free (they don't lock your purchases away from you) than at the EXPENSIVE bar 2000T/piva
- Soft drinks cost 700 instead of 150 , buy them from small shops from ground floor , near international arrival door , only 200 tenge
- Avoid taxi scam. Use uberX 2500kzt+ or install app Rutaxi pricing 1000kzt to 1500kzt to the central part of city. The only means of public transport is bus 92 (check app citybus for route) 80kzt.
- Dmitry AvdeychukЯнварь 8, 2014Take a pen when you fly to Almaty to fill a migrational card out as the customs staff don't have any. You will be pushed back from customs' kiosk to grab it from someone. No way to buy it in there!
- Zone is specifically created for all loyal Foursquare members traveling in and out of the country! :)
- Small airport. Long line at passport control. Taxi to Almaty should cost 10$. If you pay more - you are "lucky"😄

- Suhaila LailaСентябрь 30, 2019No prayer room for muslimah. They only have small corner that fit 1 person to perform Solah. Ablution can be made in toilet but a bit difficult and quite unclean.
- Prices at the departures hall coffee shops are extremely high (comparing to the average Almaty prices)
- Check out Balbala.kz toys on the second floor. Good souvenirs that sing in Kazakh language :)

- Smoke outside, inside smoking room is a purgatory.
- Very small airport. No duty free. Only few very expensive boutiques and some kind of bar. No any business lounge for most international airlines. Complete mess at the exit with freelance "taxi".
- Just a quick note to those traveling within the country: they don't really care about the liquids in your hand baggage. International guidelines for 150ml limit allowance are not followed.
- short time to pass security control and just one gate then no long walk needed
