Of all the "must see" places we've visited in Hawaii this was one of if not the coolest. We will come back anytime we get a chance to come back to Hawaii
Made of 3 reefs in increasingly deep water, no matter the swell size, the reef churns out deadly powerful and heavy waves over a jagged coral reef. It is home to the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing.
We went fairly early in the morning and quickly lost count of how many turtles there were-definitely more than 3-4 times the # of people. Bring polarized glasses/lens filter to reduce the water glare.
Great for picnics, family gatherings and going for a quick dip (in the summer). In the winter, be sure to heed the high surf warnings, but always a great place to people watch (and surf watch).
There's usually a line out the door at this North Shore institution for its shave ice, the local version of a snow cone.
Best Ahi and Tako Poke on Oahu! Only place to buy beer between Sunset and Hauula.
Bacon bloody is incredible. Great Mai Tais. Try the fish tacos and/or pork nachos while you dun yourself and watch the surfers.
Super cute two screen theater. Will make you feel like you're back in 1957. Prices are cheap and they only show G, PG, and "select" PG-13 movies.
Its the Most Fabulous Place on Earth and With a Amazing Friend's too. Thank's to my Beloved Friend asked me to come.
