Unbelievable non-pretentious Japanese. Try the communal table and make a friend. Udon, gyoza, sushi tacos, and eggplant appetizer are all musts. 😻

EМарт 20, 2015If you're craving for a nice bowl of udon noodles, go here! I love the kinoko (mushroom) kake udon served hot. I recommend adding a poached egg and pork belly on top!

Delicious Japanese at decade old prices. Sushi taco sampler, gyoza in a cast iron skillet, and pork belly using with a poached egg.

DinaАпрель 24, 2014Delicious, inexpensive Japanese restaurant specializing in udon. The udon is best I've tried in NY. To be more cozy ask to sit at the bar in the back. A great stop for lunch and dinner.
This is my favorite Japanese spot. I'm usually more of a traditionalist, but I just adore the atmosphere here, and the food is spot on. Everything I've tried is pure delight.

The dipping style Kinoko Tsukcjil Udon- Cooked variety of mushrooms dipping sauce - is my go to favorite. Also. Never skip out on the black sesame ice cream for dessert. One of the best.

We always order the tempura to start. They have decent sushi. I personally like their "taco" spin though my husband doesn't. They have affordable lunch specials, too. This place is 1 of our staples.

The broth is so rich here that any udon's you pick will be delicious. The communal table is surprisingly comfortable. Hot sake here is a must.

The food here is so tasty! I love this spot. If you want the pork betty i recommend bozu though.
