A little overrated, but if you're in the area you can't ever say no to ice cream!
Very cool decor echoing that of a luxe restaurant on a ship. I don't really eat seafood, but was here for a work dinner and had the steak. It was incredible.
The space is so much larger than you would ever expect! Buzzing with people and so delicious. Great date spot or business drinks/dinner.
One of my neighborhood favorites. The trick is to get there early enough so that you don't have an hour wait. Really cute, cozy feel. This place has so much character. Awesome for breakfast and lunch.

Most people in their 20s associate this place as a nightlife spot, but the food here is actually pretty good. I've been for brunch & dinner and was very happy! Sit outside if you have the opportunity.
Everyone rants and raves about this place but I honestly don't think it was worth it. Totally overpriced, especially for breakfast and not the best meal that I've ever had. Good burgers though.
One of my favorite spots in the city. Great first date spot, great food and this place is just SO pretty during the holidays. Gets very crowded so I wouldn't recommend going with a large group.
So much fun at night to go out at night and party. Also has a really good brunch. Definitely go in the spring/summer so that you can eat on the rooftop. So cute and pleasant.

Best speakeasy in this city. Tell the mixologist what you're feeling and he'll create the best concoction of your life. Tiny place so go on a Sunday night to get in without a wait.
Amazing steak. Great, luxe feel inside the restaurant. You wouldn't know it at first, but there's also a really cool speakeasy-esque downstairs. Good for parties. A lot of fun.

The classic "lets meet here before bar hopping on the LES." Actually has good food and a large beer selection. Good for groups whenever or a chill date during the week. Gets packed on weekends.
Such a cute spot but don't go on a weekend because you won't be able to appreciate the good drinks and great atmosphere because it's just so crowded you can't move.

Truffle mac & cheese. Had my birthday dinner here with 5 friends and it was perfect. Loved the atmosphere, the food and the drinks. Also good to go and just hang out at the bar.
There isn't one New Yorker in their 20s who doesn't have a story about the time they went here. Fridays & Saturdays are crazy but otherwise it's cute for a cocktail on a date.
It's meatpacking so as you can imagine there's a long line and a ton of people but it's fun and very different from the other spots nearby. This place is massive and more bar vs. club atmosphere.

It's like a post college, college bar. I played beer pong here on a Sunday night and had a good time but can't see myself coming here on a Friday or Saturday night. Good drink specials though.
Did you know that this place used to be a car garage? Now it's a giant place to drink! Great to go with friends, very chill and a good place to just hang and kick back with a few beers.
Good to go out on the weekends. The atmosphere here changes every time i come, sometimes everyone is just hanging out and sometimes everyone is dancing like crazy. Never know what to expect.
Not a place that I prefer to go out on the weekends, but it always has a long line and everyone seems to love it there. Usually have bands playing, so maybe that's why.
Tapas. The mixologist made me one of the best drinks EVER here. I have no idea what it was, but it was spicy and incredible. Small spot, will be more difficult with large groups.
I love coming here for after-work drinks with co-workers or business drinks. Amazing cocktails, the mac & cheese is delicious. Good place to know in the Tribeca area.
This place is so big and so much fun especially in the summer when they open the rooftop. Good music it's really pretty :)
Red Velvet Cupcakes. You can't live in New York or visit New York without coming here. Delicious and a tourist attraction. It's been in Sex and the City so obviously you have to go!
Located in the heart of Times Square, if you have a business dinner/drinks planned this is a good place to go. Luxe, expensive, well lit and really beautiful.
One of my all-time favorite places in the city. Great drinks, food for any meal and if you have the chance to sit outside you should. Wish they still had those amazing fudge granola bars...
There are many locations but since this one was on Gossip Girl and overlooking Central Park it's my favorite. I prefer to come here for breakfast. Everything on the menu is delicious.
One of the few BYOB dinner spots in New York. Everything from the salad which was so fresh, the pizza, and the garlic bread with cheese was scrumptious. Inexpensive, good for groups and very filling.
For $25 you get unlimited drinks and a breakfast plate. The menu is large so there's plenty to choose from and everything is delicious. Good for groups too, but make a reservation ahead of time.
I love the Eggs Benedict here. They're probably the best i've had in the city. I've never been for dinner or lunch (which I hear is also amazing). Charming and really great spot in the west village.

Very interesting setup in here. Two sofas share a table and are surrounded by a black curtain to make it intimate. If you're sitting across people you don't know it could get awkward.
Hidden gem in the middle of a creepy Chinatown alleyway. I came on a Sunday and they had a jazz band. Large menu of drinks which are very unique and interesting.
